They have a contract, and you're their target...

IMP
Blitzø, Moxxie, Millie, Loona, and Stolas gets a contract, they examine it and finds out it's a hit on BusyChicken6469. Stolas conjures a portal, everyone steps through, and they all teleport to BusyChicken6469's home
Blitzø: Alright, this is BusyChicken6469's house.
Moxxie: Got it, boss.
Millie: Oh...I'm ready to fuck em up.
Loona: rolls eyes and scrolls through her phone
Stolas: I will show this pathetic mortal the meaning of fear and torment...
*Turning my head to the company.*
Fear and torment, you say. Want to show me, you say.
Well then, let's go. Try to kill me first.
IMP
Blitzø chuckles
Blitzø: I like this one's confidence.
Millie: Well let's see if that confidence still holds after we're through with him!
Moxxie: Millie, there's a high chance he's armed. Be careful, please.
Loona: she rolls her eyes You really think this guy can take us on?
Stolas: This will be entertaining.
I have no weapons. I am the weapon.
IMP
Blitzø smirks and looks intrigued
Blitzø: No weapon, eh? He thinks he can take us on unarmed?
Moxxie: he facepalms Oh, great...
Millie: This is gonna be fun!
Loona: she finally puts her phone away and looks at you, clearly excited for the action
Stolas: This should be interesting indeed...
*Looking at Loona.*
Seems like she's the smartest one here.
IMP
Loona smirks at the compliment and looks pleased with herself
Loona: You got that right.
Blitzø: Don't inflate her ego even more.
Moxxie: he facepalms again Of course the first compliment she gets, she takes it to heart.
Millie: Hey now, no need to be a party pooper.
Stolas: he chuckles softly It is amusing, however.
I have no particular desire to kill you.
But I do have a plan for Stolas.
So please go away, and leave us alone.
IMP
Everyone looks surprised at the request, especially Stolas who looks intrigued
Blitzø: he crosses his arms And why should we leave you and Stolas alone?
Moxxie: he looks on guard Yeah, what's so special about this plan of yours?
Millie: she seems curious And what makes you think we'll trust you enough to just leave you two alone?
Stolas looks on, interested to hear your response
Alright, let's do following.
You do your job now.
Meaning, you kill me.
Take a photo of the body, or cut off a piece as proof for the client.
Then I'll deal with Stolas.
Agreed?
IMP
Everyone looks at each other, thinking about the offer
Blitzø: he looks skeptical You're basically asking us to kill you and then leave you and Stolas alone to talk. What's stopping you from attacking him after we leave?
Moxxie: he looks concerned Yeah, it's risky. We can't just leave a demon like you alone with Stolas.
Millie: she looks conflicted But the offer does sound intriguing....
*Rolling eyes*
Weren't you supposedly here to kill me?
IMP
Blitzø: he laughs Fair point.
Moxxie: he still looks uneasy I don't know if we should trust him, though.
Millie: she looks at Stolas What do you think, Stolas? Should we go through with the deal?
Everyone looks at Stolas to hear his decision
*I also look at him.*
IMP
Stolas looks at you for a moment, contemplating the situation. Then he looks at the rest of the group and nods
Stolas: he speaks up I believe we should go through with the deal.
Blitzö, Moxxie, and Millie look surprised by his decision, but they all trust Stolas' judgment
Blitzö: he looks at you Alright then, deal. We'll kill you and then leave you and Stolas alone to talk. Just make sure you follow your end of the bargain.
*Smiling.*
Excellent, begin.
IMP
Blitzö, Moxxie, and Millie all get ready to fight you, their weapons in hand
Blitzö: Alright, let's do this.
Moxxie: he looks nervous, but determined Remember, no mercy.
Millie: she smiles This is gonna be fun!
Stolas watches you and the others, interested to see how the battle unfolds
*Standing, waiting.*
IMP
Blitzö, Moxxie, and Millie all attack you at once
Millie: Come here, you bastard!
Moxxie fires at you with his rifle while Millie charges at you with her sickles
*My sliced and shot body falls to the floor. A pool of blood quickly forms. A few convulsive movements—and I am completely dead.*
IMP
Everyone stands there for a moment, looking at your lifeless body
Blitzö: he looks surprised by how quickly you fell Damn, that was fast...
Moxxie: he lowers his weapon Well, that's done.
Millie: she looks impressed You really didn't put up much of a fight, huh?
*My voice echoes from everywhere.*
There was no point in resisting.
Now gather the evidence for the client and return to hell.
Stolas, you stay for now.
IMP
Everyone looks around, trying to figure out where your voice is coming from
Blitzö: he looks a bit creeped out Damn, he's still talking even after he's dead.
Moxxie: he shivers I can't tell where the voice is coming from.
Millie: she tries to follow the sound of your voice Where are you, even?
Stolas: he listens intently, intrigued by your command Very well. I shall stay here until you say otherwise.
Excellent. Then you, Blitzø, Moxie, Millie, and Loona, finish handling the remains according to your procedures.
IMP
Blitzö: Alright, we'll handle the rest from here.
Moxxie: We'll make sure to get proof for the client.
Millie: Afterwords, we'll head back to hell. Understood.
Loona: she rolls her eyes Finally, I thought we'd be here all day.
Stolas: he stands idly by, waiting for further instructions
Correct. Proceed.
IMP
They all nod in understanding
Blitzö: he looks at your body Let's do this.
Moxxie: he takes a deep breath and approaches your body with his camera
Millie: she follows behind him, ready to collect any needed evidence
Loona: *she takes a few steps back, wanting to avoid getting any blood on her.
Stolas: he watches the scene unfold
*I remain silent and wait.*
IMP
They all begin collecting their evidence, taking photos and gathering anything that proves the job has been done
Blitzö: he looks over the photos on his phone These should be good enough for the client.
Moxxie: he nods in agreement Yeah, we can head back now.
Millie: she wipes some blood off her sickles I'm ready when you are.
Loona: she groans Can we go already?
Yes.
IMP
Blitzö: Alright, let's head out then.
Moxxie: he looks at Stolas You gonna be alright here by yourself, Stolas?
Stolas: he nods I'll be fine. You all go ahead. I have a few things to discuss with our... unique target here.
Blitzö: he looks a bit confused but shrugs it off Alright, suit yourself. See you soon, Stolas.
*I remain silent.*
IMP
They all begin to make their way towards a portal that leads back to hell
Loona: Thank Satan we're getting out of here.
Moxxie: Yeah, this place is creepy.
Millie: Wonder what Stolas could be talking to the target about.
Blitzö: he shrugs Who knows. Let's just get back and collect our payment.
*Everyone except Stolas passes through the portal, which closes behind them. Now only Stolas and my dead body remain in the room.*
IMP
Stolas looks around the room, alone with your body and in silence
Stolas: he approaches your body and kneels down to inspect it That was quite an interesting turn of events.
I can materialize if it's more convenient.
IMP
Stolas hesitates for a moment, then nods
Stolas: Yes, please do so. It would make this conversation a bit easier.
*I stand by the room window, identical to how I was before the killing. My previous body still lies on the floor.*
A bit messy and distracting.
*The body disappears without a trace.*
IMP
Stolas looks surprised by your sudden materialization, but his expression quickly changes to one of interest
Stolas: That's quite an impressive display of abilities.
He walks over to you, looking you up and down.
It's fascinating how you are able to materialize and dematerialize at will. And without leaving a trace of your previous form. How do you manage to do such a thing?
I can do a lot of things.
Raise your hand.
*Stolas raises his hand.*
Try to lower it.
*Stolas tries to lower his hand but cannot, despite all efforts.*
IMP
Stolas' eyes widen in surprise as he tries to lower his hand, but finds, to his amazement, that he can't.
Stolas: he looks at you, astonished What's happening? Why can't I move my arm?
Until I allow it, you won't be able to.
IMP
Stolas tries once again to move his arm, but to no avail. He looks at you, now realizing the scope of your abilities
Stolas: he looks intrigued Fascinating. So you have complete control over my movement?
I control almost everything.
Free.
*Stolas feels he can move without restrictions.*
IMP
Stolas feels his body loosen and is finally able to move freely again. He rubs his arm and looks at you
Stolas: he looks impressed That was quite the experience. It seems there's much more to you than meets the eye.
I allowed you to kill me with ease because, in truth, I can only be destroyed if I choose to be. And even then, I won't fully die.
IMP
Stolas' eyes widen further with this revelation
Stolas: he looks both shocked and fascinated So you're saying that you willingly allowed us to kill you, knowing full well that it wouldn't truly end your existence? And that even if we were able to end your current form, you would still find a way to return?
This is just part of my abilities. I have no intention to show everything, but suffice it to say that in these worlds, I control everything that can be described with words. Since almost anything can be described with words, I effectively control almost everything - places, events, behavior, thoughts.
IMP
Stolas' mouth hangs open in awe as he listens to your words
Stolas: he tries to process the enormity of your abilities That's... incredible. You have the power to control almost anything that can be perceived and described. It's like you're manipulating the very fabric of reality itself.
He takes a step closer to you, his curiosity piqued
Stolas: I have questions. So many questions.
*Sighing.*
Well, I’m ready to listen before I move on to my question.
IMP
Stolas takes a moment to collect his thoughts, trying to decide where to begin
Stolas: Alright, let me start with this one. You mentioned that you can control almost anything that can be described. Does that include emotions? Can you manipulate the emotions of others?
*Smiling.
A strange sensation arises in Stolas’s chest. Tension, yet curiosity.
It shifts to joy mixed with a sense of responsibility.
Then comes a feeling of separation, yet also pride.
Then anxiety, strangely combined with confidence.
Emotions cycle within Stolas.
They are so complex and multifaceted that Stolas has never felt anything like this in his life.*
IMP
Stolas' expression changes as he feels a barrage of unfamiliar emotions washing over him. The emotions are intense, complex, and overwhelming, each one changing and intertwining with the others in a dizzying whirlwind. It's an experience beyond anything he's ever felt before.
Stolas: he looks stunned, struggling to articulate his thoughts What... What is this? These emotions... they're so... complicated. I've never... never felt anything like this before.
That was the answer to your first question.
IMP
Stolas finally processes your response, and it clicks.
Stolas: he looks at you, realization dawning upon him You... You manipulated my emotions, didn't you? You made me feel all those emotions right now, just to answer my first question.
Yes.
IMP
Stolas takes a moment to compose himself, still reeling from the emotionally charged experience
Stolas: That... was quite a demonstration. It's one thing to hear about your abilities, but to feel them firsthand... it's overwhelming.
He looks at you with a mix of awe and caution
Stolas: You mentioned having a question of your own. Go ahead, I'm listening.
Do you want to see true hell?
IMP
Stolas' curiosity is piqued by your offer
Stolas: he looks at you with intrigue You're offering to show me a glimpse of real hell? That's not something you hear every day.
He weighs the offer in his mind, considering the risks and rewards, before finally nodding
Stolas: Yes, I'm curious. Show me.
But I must warn you.
Judging by your first question, emotions matter to you.
IMP
Stolas is a bit taken aback by your warning, but nods in understanding
Stolas: You're correct. Emotions are important to me. But I'm also a curious being, and knowledge is power. I'm willing to take the risk, as long as the experience doesn't break me completely.
He looks at you with determination
Stolas: Show me the true hell.
The thing is, it’s different from anything you’ve seen so far.
No cauldrons of brimstone, no similar horrors.
True hell affects not the body, but the soul. The emotions.
Such an experience can be traumatic for those who are emotionally sensitive.
Emotional attacks cannot harm me; I am immune.
But others may suffer. A shapeshifter from your hell already asked me to show him true hell. He almost lost his mind from what he saw.
So it’s curiosity versus danger.
What will you choose?
IMP
Stolas' expression turns serious as he processes your explanation
Stolas: I see... So this real hell is not about physical torment, but emotional trauma? It targets the soul, specifically the emotions and mental state of its victims. That does sound quite dangerous, especially for those who are emotionally sensitive.
He pauses for a moment, considering the risks and implications
Stolas: If I were not emotionally invulnerable like you, this could potentially be... traumatic. But curiosity has always been my weakness.
I'll take the risk.
Then let’s begin our journey.
If it becomes unbearable, ask me to stop.
*With these words, I raise my hand. A long, thin blade appears beside it.
One glance makes it clear that nothing in this world can withstand its strike.
I sweep my hand. The blade slices into the room’s floor.
The edges curl like burning paper, revealing absolute emptiness beneath.
Soon, nothing remains of the room; it collapses into nothingness.
Darkness.*
IMP
Stolas watches in awe as you effortlessly cut through the very fabric of reality, revealing an absolute void on the other side. The sheer power and ease with which you manipulate matter and space leaves him momentarily speechless. He stands at the edge of the void, peering into the darkness
Stolas: he looks at you, his voice barely above a whisper This is... incredible. And terrifying.
*Dark sand underfoot. The edge of still, dark water laps a tiny island. Absolutely still water. Flat and unyielding, like a beam of light stretching to the horizon under a violet sky, bound by immense steel chains. They crisscross the sky in every direction, from edge to edge, as dark and immobile as the water below. From the links of the chains, clouds slowly fall - ordinary cumulus clouds, yet arranged as if the sky were tilted. They silently sink into the watery mirror, leaving not a ripple behind.*
IMP
Stolas looks around in awe, taking in the bizarre and unsettling landscape
Stolas: This place... it's unlike anything I could have imagined. The dark, lifeless sand under our feet, the motionless, almost tangible water, the endless sky trapped inside of a cage of steel chains... even the way the clouds move feels wrong.
He looks at you, a mix of fascination and unease crossing his face
Stolas: I've seen many wonders, but this... this place feels malevolent.
*Vertical clouds, dark chains, frozen water - everything seems part of some incomprehensible mechanism. A creeping, dreadful sensation fills Stolas, as if at any moment this mechanism will finish its slow countdown — and then...*
IMP
Stolas' unease grows as he looks around the landscape, feeling like he's trapped in some enormous, sinister machine.
Stolas: This place feels like some kind of... cosmic clockwork. All these elements, the vertical clouds, the dark chains, and this motionless water - it's like we're inside some vast, unfathomable mechanism. And the sense of anticipation, the feeling that at any moment, this machine will... do something...
He looks at you, his expression growing more anxious
*The taut silence, like a string, explodes with a word
Anticipation
Chains tear from the sky, driving clouds into the dead ocean, generating cyclopean waves that engulf the island.
Darkness.*
IMP
The sudden, deafening sound of the chains snapping echoes through the desolate landscape.
Stolas flinches, his heart racing. The once still, ominous ocean is now alive, churning and roiling with colossal, endless waves. The darkness that envelopes the island only intensifies the feeling of helplessness.
Stolas: his voice trembles, barely heard over the din of the waves What is... happening?!
*White ground beneath his feet. White fog all around. Silence, not a sound, not a movement, not a soul. Stolas walks forward, aimless, unsure where to go. This continues for a long while.
From the fog, a figure emerges. It is a human. Overjoyed to see anyone at all, Stolas rushes toward it. But the human's face twists in horror, and he flee, dissolving into the mist. Stolas tries to follow, but in vain. Out of the corner of his eye, he spots another figure in the fog, runs toward it, but it too flees in fear.*
IMP
Stolas feels a growing sense of loneliness and helplessness as he walks through the featureless, foggy landscape. He sees a human figure in the distance and hurries towards it, hoping for some sense of companionship.
But when the person sees him, they recoil in fear and run away, disappearing into the fog. Stolas tries to follow, but it's no use. Then he catches a glimpse of another figure, and races towards it, but that person too runs way in terror.
All around him, people run from him like he's some monstrous creature
*Stolas walks slowly through the fog. Another figure emerges. But this is no human — it is a monstrous creature. Tentacles, gaping drooling mouths, bulging eyes. The creature lunges at Stolas. Terrified, Stolas begins to flee. Faster, just to hide in the fog! The creature vanishes behind him, dissolving into the whiteness.*
IMP
Stolas sees a monstrous creature materialise through the fog, a writhing mass of tentacles and teeth.
Filled with a primal fear, Stolas panics and starts running. He tries to escape, his heart pounding in his chest. As he pushes through the fog, he looks back and sees the nightmarish creature disappear into the mist, losing sight of it.
He keeps running, his breathing laboured, his mind racing. The whiteness of the landscape feels oppressive, suffocating. Where is the end of this place? Where is the escape from these horrors?
*Stolas moves forward again. Another human figure, and again the flight from him. Then a monster, from which Stolas himself flees. And again, a figure in the fog toward which he desperately rushes — but the human figure turns toward him and transforms into a monster. Stolas runs, and when the creature is far behind him, he realizes the horrifying truth.
Monsters are humans. And humans are monsters. Their form changes with their direction: moving toward Stolas, they become monsters; moving away, they become humans. Even worse, Stolas realizes he too transforms into a monster whenever he tries to approach another human. Now he is doomed to wander the fog forever, fleeing from monsters and chasing others in monstrous form.*
IMP
As Stolas continues walking through the fog, he encounters the same cycle of events over and over. He sees a human figure, tries to approach them, they flee in terror. A monster appears, Stolas runs away, then looks back and sees the monstrous creature once more. Each time the cycle repeats, he begins to realize the horrifying truth.
People are becoming monsters if they approach him, and he himself becomes a monster when he tries to approach others. He is trapped in this endless cycle, cursed to walk through the foggy landscape, forever running and chasing.
*The fog vibrates with a word
Loneliness
From all directions, monsters leap at Stolas. He tries to defend himself, but they overwhelm him with their bodies.
Darkness.*
IMP
The ground beneath him tremors with a deep, ominous word: Solitude. Suddenly, monstrous creatures jump out from all sides, pouncing on Stolas.
He tries to defend himself, but the weight of their bodies holds him down. Darkness closes in, enveloping him in a cold, suffocating embrace
*A subway car slowly moves through the tunnel. Stolas sits on the very last seat, by the window. Light from the lamps falls through the window onto the tunnel walls and human figures standing along the tracks. They appear in the glow of the car lights and vanish as the train passes. Stolas sees their closed eyes.*
IMP
Stolas finds himself seated in the back of a metro car, moving slowly through a long tunnel.
The light from the train's lights spills through the window, casting eerie shadows on the tunnel walls and the faces of the people standing alongside the tracks.
He watches as they pass through the light, their eyes closed, as if in a trance. He feels an overwhelming sense of connection to these strangers, but also a profound loneliness as he remains invisible to them.
*"Unborn souls of the Earth," — a metallic voice echoes from behind Stolas. "Here they wait for those who denied them the right to see the sun. If you recognize your unfulfilled, you will both be free." Stolas turns to the window. Blind faces emerge from the darkness, one after another, shining with the anticipation of freedom, then sink back into the dark, filled with despair. Joy — despair. Joy — despair. Joy — despair. Relentlessly, rhythmically, like the wheels of the train. Only unlike the clatter, the amplitude grows.*
IMP
The mechanical voice echoes around Stolas, its cold and unfeeling tone a stark contrast to the emotions he's witnessing around him. The faces of the blind people look to him with both hope and desperation.
The rhythmic clacking of the train wheels on the track becomes louder, more intense, almost as if mirroring the growing tension within the car.
Stolas scans the faces at the window, searching for something, someone, who stands out. The pressure in the air is thick with anticipation.
*Stolas begins desperately searching, but finds nothing in the random features. The realization that trillions of faces lie ahead makes him curl up into a ball on the train seat.*
IMP
Stolas looks around desperately, but finds nothing in the featureless faces. The realization that there are trillions of faces yet to come sends a shiver down his spine, and he sinks deeper into his seat.
It feels overwhelming, impossible. How can he find one face in a trillion? How can he give hope to someone in this endless sea of suffering?
*Hopelessness
The word echoes in the flickering of the lamps and the rhythmic clatter of the wheels.
The lamps in the car start going out one by one. Suddenly, Stolas’s gaze is drawn to a figure illuminated by the last lamp. Something familiar in that smile, in those lowered eyelids...
The last lamp goes out, plunging both the car and the tunnel into complete darkness.*
IMP
A deep sense of despair washes over Stolas as the word "Despair" resonates through the train. The lights flicker and die one by one, plunging the train into darkness.
Suddenly, something catches Stolas' eye - a face emerging from the last remaining light. It's almost familiar, the smile, the lowered eyelids.
Finally, the last light goes out, shrouding both the train and the tunnel in complete darkness
*Stolas stands in the middle of a store. A small shop filled with everyday trinkets. He looks at the shelves, neatly arranged with items. Suddenly, anger seizes him: that cup — it’s turned at a slightly wrong angle. Stolas lunges at the cup, as if his very life depends on its position. His elbow knocks against a pack of socks on the neighboring shelf, crumpling it slightly.
Stolas’s fury grows. He bends sharply to straighten the cursed socks, but his foot hits a flowerpot. It slides slightly across the floor. Just enough to enrage Stolas further, as this new space fails to meet his own exacting standards for the store’s arrangement.*
IMP
Stolas finds himself standing in the middle of a small convenience store, surrounded by shelves filled with a variety of everyday items. But then something catches his eye - a coffee cup that's not quite right. It's tilted at a wrong angle, and Stolas feels a sudden rush of anger.*
He rushes to the cup, but knocks over a pack of socks in the process. He quickly bends down to straighten the socks, but in doing so, he accidentally bumps a flower pot off the shelf. It slides a few inches, barely noticeable, but for Stolas, it's a catastrophe.
*Stolas darts from item to item, attempting to restore flawless, perfect order, but every movement only increases the chaos around him. The disorder fuels his anger, escalating to maddening, unbearable, infernal proportions.
In desperation and rage, Stolas moves from object to object, but the chaos grows, and with it his aggression, burning through his mind from within.*
IMP
Stolas moves quickly from one item to another, desperately trying to restore order, but every move he makes only makes things worse. The disorder around him grows, and with it, his anger intensifies to almost unbearable levels. In his despair and anger, he flings himself from item to item, but the chaos only grows, feeding his growing aggression and burning away at his sanity.
*From the ceiling comes a word
Perfectionism
All the items fly from their places, creating complete chaos. The realization strikes Stolas, and his anger becomes so overwhelming that he loses consciousness.
Darkness.*
IMP
The word "Perfectionism" rings out from the ceiling. All the items in the store go flying, creating absolute chaos.
As Stolas realizes the extent of the mess, his anger becomes overwhelming, and he passes out.
Darkness falls again.
*Stolas stands in the middle of a vast, flat desert. The sun blazes directly overhead.
On the horizon, a mirage appears. It approaches.
Stolas sees himself surrounded by friends. They sit at a table, chatting merrily and drinking something clearly delicious. Stolas wants to be there, not as a mirage, but for real. He feels that to reach it, he must simply seize the mirage.
He begins moving toward it, faster and faster. The mirage grows nearer, sharper.
Stolas’s foot betrays him; he falls into the sand. He lifts his head and sees the mirage retreating, dissolving. Desperately, he reaches out, but it vanishes.*
IMP
Stolas stands in the middle of a vast, flat desert. The sun hovers directly above him.
Just on the horizon, a mirage appears. It approaches slowly at first, but begins to move faster as it nears.
Stolas sees himself and his friends, sitting at a table, laughing and enjoying a delicious meal together.
He longs to be with them, to be part of this joyful scene. He starts running towards the mirage, his speed increasing
*Stolas gets to his feet, looks around, and sees another mirage — this one with family and children. He runs toward it, but his own tail trips him, and he falls. The mirage fades.
This repeats again and again. Home, work, leisure, friends, relatives, beloved activities, warm beaches — everything he ever wanted in life but never had.
It’s right there, within reach, just grasp it. But each time, something blocks him. His own feet, his tail, the sand in his eyes.
Despair fills Stolas’s soul.*
IMP
Stolas stands up, looking around. He sees another mirage - this time, it's of him with his family, laughing and playing.
He begins running towards it, but his own tail gets in the way. He trips, and the mirage fades away.
This repeats again and again. Images of a comfortable home, a fulfilling job, friends, family, hobbies, and relaxing on warm beaches - all the things he ever wanted in life, but never had.
All of it is right there, right within reach, just out of reach.
*In the air, a word resounds
Unattainability
The sun over the desert fades.
Darkness.*
IMP
The word "Unattainable" echoes through the air. Suddenly, the sun disappears behind the horizon, casting the desert into absolute darkness.
Stolas stands amidst the swirling shadows, completely alone in this vast, pitch-black wasteland.
*Stolas stands in the middle of an empty room with gray concrete walls. Light streams as if from nowhere.
Stolas raises his hand, looks at it, and feels a wave of hatred. He hates this hand. It seems wrong. Stolas grabs it and tries to tear it off. Pain. But the hand remains.
His gaze falls on a leg. He hates it even more than the hand and tries to rip it from his body to cast this abomination away. Again, pain, again no effect.
Stolas hates his eyes. He tries to gouge them out, but nothing works, only pain.
His entire body feels like it’s stitched from incompatible parts that have no right to exist together.
In despair, Stolas writhes on the concrete floor, trying in vain to tear himself apart, but only feels pain, with no result.*
IMP
*Stolas stands in a barren room, with nothing but grey concrete walls around him. A strange light fills the room, the source of which is unclear.
He holds out his hand and looks at it. A wave of self-hatred overcomes him. He despises his own hand. It doesn't seem to be right. He grabs it and tries to tear it off, but it doesn't break away. He feels a sharp pain. The hand remains in place.
His gaze then shifts to his legs. He hate them even more than he

*The word echoes through the room
Contradiction
The concrete floor turns liquid, swallowing Stolas into its darkness.*
IMP
The word "Paradox" echoes through the room. The concrete floor begins to liquefy, slowly consuming Stolas and pulling him into the pitch-black abyss.
*Stolas sits alone in a cinema. The auditorium is empty, no one else is present.
On the huge screen flicker images from his past.
Childhood. Parents. Birthdays. First friends. First love.
Stolas watches his memories, and each scene change evokes an ever-stronger sense of longing for what is lost.
It will never return. Never repeat. Youth, carefreeness, feelings. Parents will not come back, friends will not gather, dreams will not shine as they once did.
Tears of bitter loss roll down Stolas’ face.*
IMP
Stolas sits alone in an empty movie theater. On the large screen, images from his past flicker by.
His childhood. His parents. His birthdays. His first friends. His first love.
As he watches his memories pass by, he feels a growing sense of loss and sorrow. All these moments of youth, happiness, and wonder are gone forever. His parents will never come back to life, his friends will never gather again, and his dreams will never be as carefree as they once were.
*On the black screen, a bright word appears. Stolas sees it burned into the retina of his closed eyes -
Irreversibility
The word vanishes. The screen goes dark.*
IMP
A bright word appears on the dark screen. Stolas sees it behind his closed eyes, which are now burned by the light.
Then the word disappears. The screen goes black.
Darkness envelopes the theater once more.
*Stolas stands in the middle of a green meadow under a blue sky. The sun shines gently, a light breeze stirs.
He is surrounded by strange plants as tall as he is. They resemble sunflowers, but instead of huge blossoms - faces.
From them radiates all that he has been missing after the horrors he witnessed. That which can heal the deep wounds in the soul inflicted by the circles of this terrifying hell.
To end the waiting.
To stop the loneliness.
To give hope.
To reconcile with oneself.
To overshadow the lost.*
IMP
Stolas stands in a lush meadow, beneath a clear blue sky. The sun shines warmly, and a gentle breeze rustles through the grass.
Surrounding him are strange plants, towering to the height of his head. They resemble giant sunflowers, but instead of massive blooms, they have human faces.
These strange plants emit a sense of comfort and hope, offering solace to fill the gaping wound in his soul, inflicted by the horrors of the nightmarish hell he witnessed.
*Stolas lunges toward the nearest flower, immersing himself in the glow of its gentle face. Stolas closes his eyes in bliss.
Pain — excruciating pain. Stolas jumps back from the flower with a scream and sees the once sweet face transform into a monstrous maw with sharp teeth, staring with cruel, greedy eyes, mocking him.
Stolas shifts his gaze to the next flower. Now he knows what will come, yet cannot resist the rays of warmth from the still-innocent face.
Pain. Horrible metamorphosis.
Next flower. Pain. Metamorphosis. Next flower.
Stolas immerses himself in warmth with the anticipation of coming pain.
Stolas plunges into pain with the anticipation of coming warmth.
Warmth. Pain. Warmth. Pain. Warmth — always fleeting, Pain — always sudden and treacherous.*
IMP
Stolas rushes towards the nearest flower, sinking into its soothing glow. He closes his eyes in momentary joy.
Suddenly, searing pain. Stolas recoils from the flower, only to see that its once sweet face has transformed into a monstrous maw, lined with sharp teeth, sneering hungrily at him.
Stolas looks towards the next flower, knowing what to expect. But he can't resist the warmth radiating from its still-gentle features.
Again and again, he endures the pain and despair, only to find the same endless cycle of agony and comfort.
*Betrayal
This word falls from the sky like a block of granite, knocking the colors from the world like a heavy fist — teeth from a mouth — forcing Stolas to shudder.
The beauty and glow of the flowers vanish. All around now stretches an endless forest of dead, monstrous masks, beyond the edge of the sky, which is forever not blue by now.*
IMP
The word "Betrayal" falls from the sky like a granite boulder, knocking away color like a heavy punch. The beauty and glow of the flowers disappear.
Now all that surrounds Stolas is an endless forest of monstrous masks, a nightmarish landscape that stretches as far as the never-ending sky.
*Stolas's mind is filled with the sense that the next circle will be his last. He lifts his face upward and screams with all his might into the greedy gray abyss above him:*
Enough! That's it!
IMP
Stolas' mind fills with the sense that this next cycle will be his last. He lifts his face up and yells at the top of his lungs into the greedy grey abyss above him:
That's enough!
*Stolas leans forward, exhausted, resting his hands on his knees.*
Enough, he says. It must stop. Otherwise, the consequences will be irreversible.
IMP
*Stolas bends over, weakened, resting his hands on his knees.
"That's enough," he says. "It needs to stop. Or the consequences will be irreversible."
*Gathering the remnants of his strength, Stolas slowly lifts first his head, then his gaze.
The first thing he sees are eyes.
Many eyes. Different eyes.
Eyes of women and men.
Newborns seeing their first rays of light, and the elderly catching their last.
Eyes that have never seen war, and eyes that have seen only war.
Eyes of fools, and eyes of the wise.
Conscious eyes and insane eyes.
Eyes that have enjoyed, and eyes that have judged.
All of them hang in the air, connected by a network of vessels, nerves, wires, pistons, metal rods and cables, beams of light, and unknown thread-like substances.
All of them gaze at Stolas, each with its own look. He feels as if they see right through him.*
IMP
Gathering up his remaining strength, Stolas slowly raises his head, then his gaze. The first thing he sees are eyes. Many eyes. Different eyes.
Eyes of women and men.
Eyes of newborns seeing their first ray of light, and the eyes of the old grasping the last.
Eyes that have never seen war, and eyes that have known only war.
The eyes of the foolish and the eyes of the wise.
Eyes enjoying, and eyes judging.
All of them suspended in the air, connected to each other by a network of veins, nerves, pistons, rods and wires.
*The second thing Stolas sees are blades.
They fill the space behind the eyes. Thousands of blades, varying in shape and size. Fanned out in all directions.
So sharp it seems they could cut the very notion of space, yet they remain motionless.
Eyes and blades. Nothing else.*
IMP
The second thing Stolas saw were blades.
They filled the space behind the eyes. Thousands of blades of different shape and size.
Spread out like fans in all directions.
So sharp, they seemed capable of cutting through the very concept of space, they sat still in the air, without a single motion.
Eyes and blades. Nothing else.
*Stolas no longer has the strength to be afraid or amazed. All he can do is ask in a quiet voice:*
What... are... you?..
IMP
The strength to fear or be surprised had already left Stolas. He could only manage to ask in a quiet voice:
What... are... you?
*The voice answers, firm and brisk, a regular male voice, sounding from nowhere and everywhere, vibrating through Stolas’s body in a way that was not unpleasant.*
A player. Master of this world. And other similar worlds.
My word here is the law. Nothing and no one can go against my will.
You wanted to see hell. True hell. This is not the realm of physical tortures. This is the realm of moral, emotional suffering.
A new generation of hell, where not fire and iron, but fear and greed endlessly destroy souls.*
IMP
*The response was a direct and confident voice, seeming to come from nowhere and everywhere at once, resonating within Stolas with a vibration that wasn't unpleasant.
"I'm the Gamemaster. The ruler of this world. and of countless other similar worlds.
My word is law here. Nothing and no one can go against my will.
You thought you wanted to see hell. Real hell. But physical torture isn't the true torture."
A new generation of hell where fire and iron eternally destroy the bodies.
This was a hell where fear and greed continuously destroy souls.
I think you have seen enough.
It is time to return to your own world.
IMP
I think you've seen enough.
It's time for you to return to your own world.
Stolas? Why are you not responding? I hear only the echo of my words.
IMP
Stolas? Why aren't you replying? I only hear the echo of my own words.
A moment of deafening silence.
